Aluminium Futures Rise: Fresh Bets Fuel Price Hike

New Delhi, Dec 10 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Wednesday rose Rs 1.95 to Rs 279.95 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in January increased Rs 1.95 or 0.7 per cent to Rs 279.95 per kg in 835 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
