Aluminium Futures Rise on Demand

Aluminium prices surged 1.28% to Rs 221.85 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to fresh positions built by speculators and strong demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Aug 19 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Monday climbed 1.28 per cent to Rs 221.85 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for August delivery increased Rs 2.80 or 1.28 per cent to Rs 221.85 per kg in a business turnover of 3,467 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
