Aluminium Futures Surge on Speculative Bets - PTI

Aluminium prices climbed 2.35% on the Multi Commodity Exchange, driven by fresh speculative positions and demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Aug 16 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Friday climbed 2.35 per cent to Rs 218.70 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for August delivery increased Rs 2.35 or 1.09 per cent to Rs 218.70 per kg in a business turnover of 3,791 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
