Copper futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange fell 1.73% on Tuesday due to weak demand in the domestic market. Analysts attribute the decline to speculators trimming their positions.
New Delhi, Oct 8 (PTI) Copper futures on Tuesday fell 1.73 per cent to Rs 852.05 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for October delivery eased by Rs 14.80 or 1.73 per cent to Rs 852.05 per kg in a business turnover of 1,656 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
