Copper Futures Decline on Weak Demand in India
Copper futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange fell 0.3% to Rs 881 per kg on Monday, driven by weak demand in the domestic market and speculator trimming of positions.
New Delhi, Mar 10 (PTI) Copper futures on Monday fell 0.3 per cent to Rs 881 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for April delivery eased by Rs 2.65 or 0.3 per cent to Rs 881 per kg in a business turnover of 1,412 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
