Copper Futures Fall on Weak Demand

Copper futures declined 0.31% to Rs 888 per kg due to weak domestic demand and reduced participant positions. Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) saw a dip in August contracts.
New Delhi, Jul 11 (PTI) Copper futures on Friday fell 0.31 per cent to Rs 888 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for August delivery eased Rs 2.80 or 0.31 per cent to Rs 888 per kilogram in a business turnover of 2,737 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline in copper prices to lower bets by participants.
