Copper Futures Fall on Weak Demand

Copper futures decline on MCX due to weak domestic demand. October contract falls to Rs 917.70/kg. Analysts cite reduced participant bets.
New Delhi, Sep 24 (PTI) Copper futures on Wednesday fell 65 paise to Rs 917.70 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper futures for October contract eased by 65 paise or 0.07 per cent to Rs 917.70 per kilogram in a business turnover of 5,792 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline in copper prices to lower bets by participants.
