Copper Futures Fall on Weak Demand

Copper futures decline on muted domestic demand. February contract eases on MCX. Analysts cite lower bets by participants.
New Delhi, Jan 8 (PTI) Copper futures on Thursday fell Rs 31.75 to Rs 1,294.90 per kilogram as participants reduced their positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper futures for the February contract eased by Rs 31.75 or 2.39 per cent to Rs 1,294.90 per kilogram in a business turnover of 5,815 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline in copper prices to lower bets by participants.
