Copper Futures Rise on Demand - PTI

Copper prices surged 1.69% on Wednesday, hitting Rs 899.10 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased spot demand. Analysts cite rising bets as a contributing factor.
New Delhi, May 15 (PTI) Copper prices on Wednesday rose 1.69 per cent to Rs 899.10 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in May traded higher Rs 14.90 or 1.69 per cent at Rs 899.10 per kg in a business turnover of 6,505 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
