Copper Futures Rise on Higher Demand

Copper futures prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased spot demand and bullish bets by market participants.
New Delhi, May 2 (PTI) Copper prices on Thursday rose 0.28 per cent to Rs 858 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in May traded higher Rs 2.40 or 0.28 per cent at Rs 858 per kg in a business turnover of 5,772 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
