Copper Futures Rise on Higher Spot Demand

Copper futures prices gained on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on Thursday due to increased spot demand and market speculation. The September contract rose 0.24% to Rs 809 per kilogram.
New Delhi, Aug 29 (PTI) Copper prices on Thursday rose 0.24 per cent to Rs 809 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in September traded higher Rs 1.95 or 0.24 per cent at Rs 809 per kg in a business turnover of 10,650 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
