Copper Futures Rise on Strong Demand

Copper prices surged on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased spot demand and bullish bets from market participants.
New Delhi, Apr 8 (PTI) Copper prices on Monday rose 0.41 per cent to Rs 804.70 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in April traded higher by Rs 3.30 or 0.41 per cent at Rs 804.70 per kg in a business turnover of 4,504 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
