Copper Futures Slip on Muted Demand in India

Copper futures fell on Wednesday due to reduced demand in the domestic market. Participants trimmed their positions, leading to a decline in prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange.
New Delhi, Sep 4 (PTI) Copper futures on Wednesday fell 0.47 per cent to Rs 789.45 per kilogram as participants cut their positions amid a muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for October delivery eased by Rs 3.70 or 0.47 per cent to Rs 789.45 per kg in a business turnover of 1,018 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by speculators amid a muted demand in the spot market mainly dragged down copper prices in the futures trade.
