Copper Futures Surge on Higher Demand

Copper prices rose 1.06% on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased spot demand, driven by participant bets. Read more.
New Delhi, Apr 4 (PTI) Copper prices on Thursday rose 1.06 per cent to Rs 799 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in April traded higher by Rs 8.35 or 1.06 per cent at Rs 799 per kg in a business turnover of 4,694 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
