Copper Futures Surge on Higher Demand

Copper prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to increased spot demand and higher bets by participants.
New Delhi, Apr 25 (PTI) Copper prices on Thursday rose 1.12 per cent to Rs 855.55 per kilogram in the futures market on the back of higher spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for delivery in May traded higher Rs 9.50 or 1.12 per cent at Rs 855.55 per kg in a business turnover of 5,505 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
