Cottonseed Oil Cake Futures Rise on Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures prices jumped on Thursday due to increased demand for cattle feed. Speculators created fresh positions, leading to a rise of Rs 23 per quintal.

New Delhi, Feb 8 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Thursday grew Rs 23 to Rs 2,461 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid a higher demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for February delivery traded higher by Rs 23 or 0.93 per cent at Rs 2,461 per quintal with an open interest of 41,240 lots.
Marketmen said the raising of positions by participants amid increasing demand for cattle feed mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for February delivery traded higher by Rs 23 or 0.93 per cent at Rs 2,461 per quintal with an open interest of 41,240 lots.
