Cottonseed Oil Cake Futures Surge on Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures rose on Monday due to increased demand for cattle feed. Speculators created fresh positions, boosting prices to Rs 3,256 per quintal.
New Delhi, Aug 19 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Monday rose Rs 32 to Rs 3,256 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid a higher demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for September delivery traded higher by Rs 32 or 3.56 per cent at Rs 3,256 per quintal with an open interest of 3,860 lots.
Marketmen said the raising of positions by participants amid increasing demand for cattle feed mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for September delivery traded higher by Rs 32 or 3.56 per cent at Rs 3,256 per quintal with an open interest of 3,860 lots.
