Cottonseed Oil Cake Futures Surge on Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures prices rose on Thursday due to increased demand for cattle feed. Speculators created fresh positions, driving up prices on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange.
New Delhi, Dec 7 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Thursday rose Rs 28 to Rs 2,932 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid higher demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for December delivery traded higher by Rs 28 or 0.95 per cent at Rs 2,932 per quintal with an open interest of 37,240 lots.

Marketmen said the raising of positions by participants amid increasing demand for cattle feed mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices.
