Cottonseed Oil Cake Futures Surge on Demand

Cottonseed oil cake futures prices rose on Wednesday due to increased demand for cattle feed. Speculators created fresh positions, driving prices up by Rs 24 to Rs 2,918 per quintal on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange.
New Delhi, Apr 2 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 24 to Rs 2,918 per quintal in futures trade as speculators created fresh positions amid higher demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for May delivery traded higher by Rs 24 or 0.82 per cent at Rs 2,918 per quintal with an open interest of 44,940 lots.
Marketmen said the raising of positions by participants amid increasing demand for cattle feed mainly influenced cottonseed oil cake prices.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for May delivery traded higher by Rs 24 or 0.82 per cent at Rs 2,918 per quintal with an open interest of 44,940 lots.
