Cottonseed Oil Futures Slip: Demand Weakens

Cottonseed oil cake futures fall on weak demand. Prices slip Rs 5 to Rs 2,863/quintal. Analysts cite sell-off amid subdued market trend.
New Delhi, Dec 2 (PTI) Cottonseed oil cake prices on Tuesday fell Rs 5 to Rs 2,863 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their bets following weak trends in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for January delivery traded lower by Rs 5 or 0.17 per cent at Rs 2,863 per quintal with an open interest of 12,900 lots.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants at existing levels amid a subdued trend in the market mainly weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices.
