Crude Oil Futures Decline on Low Demand

Crude oil futures fell on Thursday due to weak demand, with MCX crude for September delivery closing at Rs 6,276 per barrel. Global oil prices, however, saw gains.

New Delhi, Aug 29 (PTI) Crude oil futures on Thursday declined 0.19 per cent to Rs 6,276 per barrel as participants trimmed their positions on low demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for September delivery fell Rs 12 or 0.19 per cent to Rs 6,276 per barrel with a business volume of 7,053 lots.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.3 per cent up at USD 74.74 per barrel, while Brent crude was trading 0.2 per cent up at USD 78.81 per barrel in New York.
