Crude Oil Futures Rise on Spot Demand

Crude oil futures gained on spot demand. January delivery traded higher by Rs 12 at Rs 5,250 per barrel on MCX.

New Delhi, Dec 15 (PTI) Crude oil prices on Monday rose Rs 12 to Rs 5,250 per barrel in futures trade as participants increased their positions following a firm spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for January delivery traded higher by Rs 12 or 0.23 per cent at Rs 5,250 per barrel in 10,203 lots.
Analysts said the rise of bets by participants kept crude oil prices higher in futures trade.
Globally, West Texas Intermediate crude was trading 0.50 per cent higher at USD 57.73 per barrel, while Brent crude rose 0.52 per cent to USD 61.44 per barrel in New York.
