Gold Futures Fall on Low Demand - MCX Prices Drop

Gold futures prices declined on the MCX on Thursday, driven by reduced speculative positions and weak global cues. Prices fell Rs 731 to Rs 72,315 per 10 grams.
New Delhi, May 23 (PTI) Gold price on Thursday declined Rs 731 to Rs 72,315 per 10 grams in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions.
On the MCX, gold contracts for June delivery traded lower Rs 731 at Rs 72,315 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 7,956 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in the precious metal price to weak global cues.
Globally, gold was trading 1.19 per cent lower at USD 2,387 per ounce in New York.
