Guar Gum Futures Drop on Weak Demand - PTI
Guar gum futures prices fell on Monday due to low demand in the spot market and ample supply. Traders offloaded holdings, pushing prices down to Rs 10,391 per quintal.
New Delhi, Dec 23 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Monday dropped Rs 11 to Rs 10,391 per quintal in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for January delivery fell Rs 11 or 0.11 per cent to Rs 10,391 per quintal in 19,250 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
