Guar gum futures prices fell on Monday due to low demand in the spot market, with traders offloading their holdings. The decline was also attributed to ample supplies from growing regions.
New Delhi, Apr 22 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Monday dropped Rs 10 to Rs 10,965 per five quintals in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for May delivery fell Rs 10 or 0.09 per cent to Rs 10,965 per five quintals in 44,590 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
