Guar Gum Futures Drop on Weak Demand

Guar gum futures fell on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange due to low demand and ample supplies. Prices dropped Rs 41 to Rs 10,656 per quintal.
New Delhi, Nov 8 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Friday dropped Rs 41 to Rs 10,656 per quintal in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum for December delivery fell Rs 41 or 0.38 per cent to Rs 10,656 per quintal in 43,005 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar gum prices.
