Guar Gum Futures Rise on Demand

Guar gum futures jump on firm spot demand. January contracts rise on the NCDEX. Analysts cite physical market trend for price increase.
New Delhi, Dec 1 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Monday jumped Rs 321 to Rs 8,558 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for January delivery traded higher by Rs 321 or 3.75 per cent at Rs 8,558 per quintal with an open interest of 28,945 lots.
Analysts said after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to a rise in guar gum prices.
