Guar Gum Futures Rise on Demand

Guar gum futures climb on firm spot demand. January contracts up on NCDEX. Analysts cite physical market trend for price rise.
New Delhi, Dec 5 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Friday rose Rs 67 to Rs 8,898 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for January delivery traded higher by Rs 67, or 0.75 per cent, at Rs 8,898 per quintal with an open interest of 38,625 lots.
Analysts said after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to a rise in guar gum prices.
