Guar Gum Futures Surge on Strong Demand

Guar gum futures prices rose on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX) due to firm spot demand and increased speculation.
New Delhi, Jul 9 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Tuesday increased Rs 103 to Rs 10,428 per five quintals in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for July delivery traded higher Rs 103 or 0.99 per cent at Rs 10,428 per five quintals with an open interest of 14,960 lots.
Analysts said after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to the rise in guar gum prices.
