Guar Gum Futures Surge on Strong Demand

Guar gum futures prices rose on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, driven by increased speculation and firm spot demand.
New Delhi, Oct 10 (PTI) Guar gum prices on Thursday increased Rs 294 to Rs 11,256 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for November delivery traded higher by Rs 294 or 2.61 per cent at Rs 11,256 per quintal with an open interest of 49,985 lots.
Analysts said after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to the rise in guar gum prices.
