Guar Seed Futures Drop on Weak Demand - PTI
Guar seed futures fell on Tuesday due to low demand and ample supplies. Prices dropped by Rs 16 to Rs 5,662 per quintal on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange.
New Delhi, Sep 24 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Tuesday dropped Rs 16 to Rs 5,662 per quintal in the futures market as traders offloaded their holdings in line with a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed for October delivery fell Rs 16 or 0.28 per cent to Rs 5,662 per quintal in 46,490 lots.
Marketmen said slackness in demand in the spot market and ample supplies from growing regions put pressure on guar seed prices.
