Guar Seed Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Guar seed futures prices gained on Friday due to increased speculative buying and strong spot market demand, driven by thin supplies from growing regions.
New Delhi, Aug 23 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Friday rose Rs 25 to Rs 5,185 per quintal in futures trade after speculators widened their positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for September delivery rose Rs 25 or 0.48 per cent to Rs 5,185 per quintal with an open interest of 52,090 lots.

According to marketmen, speculators raised bets, a firm trend in the spot market and thin supplies from growing belts mainly led to the rise in guar seed prices.
