Guar Seed Futures Rise on Spot Demand - PTI

Guar seed futures prices rose on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange on Friday, driven by strong spot demand and speculation. Read more.
New Delhi, Oct 18 (PTI) Guar seed prices on Friday rose Rs 7 to Rs 5,535 per quintal in the futures trade after speculators widened their positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for November delivery increased Rs 7 or 0.13 per cent to Rs 5,535 per quintal with an open interest of 52,870 lots.

According to marketmen, speculators raising bets, a firm trend in the spot market and thin supplies from growing belts mainly led to the rise in guar seed prices.
