IHCL expands its footprint with a new 45-key Ginger hotel in Diu. This marks the group's first property in the region, aiming to tap into the untapped potential of Daman and Diu's tourism market.
Mumbai, Nov 14 (PTI) Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) on Thursday announced the signing of a 45-key Ginger hotel spread over three acres in Diu in the Union territory of Daman and Diu.
Entering the Diu hospitality market offers an opportunity to introduce the Ginger experience in a location that has remained largely untapped, according to a statement.
"With its scenic beaches and vibrant history, the UT has immense potential as a destination. We are delighted to partner with Praveg on this project," IHCL Executive Vice President - Real Estate and Development Suma Venkatesh said in the statement.
This is the group's first property in Diu.

Tourism Australia, Air India sign a 3-year agreement to boost Indian visitor influx
* Tourism Australia and Air India on Thursday signed a three-year marketing agreement to sustain and drive the positive trend in Indian visitor arrivals to Australia as the air carrier expands its presence in the market.
Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Tourism Australia and Air India will explore opportunities to jointly undertake and implement marketing activities to showcase Australia's appeal and drive future growth in visitation, Tourism Australia said in a statement.
"We have seen tremendous growth in the number of arrivals from India to Australia in recent years and we are keen for arrivals to continue to track in that direction. We look forward to working closely with Air India to showcase Australia as a holiday destination," Tourism Australia Managing Director Phillipa Harrison said.
