Silver Futures Surge on Strong Spot Demand

Silver prices rose on the Multi Commodity Exchange, driven by increased spot demand and positive domestic trends. Global silver prices also saw a slight increase.
Silver Futures Surge on Strong Spot Demand
New Delhi, Oct 11 (PTI) Silver prices on Friday rose Rs 496 to Rs 90,800 per kilogram as participants widened their bets on a firm spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for December delivery increased Rs 496 or 0.55 per cent to Rs 90,800 per kg in a business turnover of 27,824 lots.

Analysts said the rise in silver prices was mainly due to fresh positions built up by participants on a positive domestic trend.

Globally, silver was trading 0.05 per cent higher at USD 31.17 per ounce in New York.
