Silver Futures Surge: Price Jumps to Rs 1,01,522/kg

Silver futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) climbed Rs 209 to Rs 1,01,522 per kg on Friday, driven by increased market bets and fresh positions. The rise follows a global trend with silver prices inching up in New York.

New Delhi, Mar 28 (PTI) Silver prices on Friday climbed by Rs 209 to Rs 1,01,522 per kg as market participants increased their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for May delivery rose Rs 209 or 0.21 per cent to Rs 1,01,522 per kg in a business turnover of 22,870 lots.
Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.
Meanwhile, silver was nearly 1 per cent higher at USD 35.42 per ounce in New York.
