Silver Prices Decline: Futures Drop on Reduced Bets

Silver futures fell Rs 144 to Rs 1,17,030 per kg as participants reduced bets. MCX silver contracts for September delivery decreased 0.12%.

New Delhi, Aug 29 (PTI) Silver prices on Friday declined Rs 144 to Rs 1,17,030 per kilogram as participants reduced their bets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for September delivery decreased Rs 144, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 1,17,030 per kilogram in a business turnover of 4,879 lots.
Analysts said a sell-off by participants at existing levels in the market mainly weighed on silver prices.
Globally, silver was trading 0.57 per cent lower at USD 38.82 per ounce in New York.
