upGrad announces 'Joy of Learning' initiative to train 4,500 learners from less privileged backgrounds, with a Rs 3.18 crore scholarship program.
New Delhi, Nov 2 (PTI) upGrad, a learning skilling and workforce development company, on Thursday said it is on track to train 4,500 learners from less privileged backgrounds under the 'Joy of Learning' initiative.

Led by the upGrad Foundation, the scholarship-based initiative saw a sizable donation by the upGrad workforce last year coupled with the company's contribution of 1.3 times, totalling Rs 3.18 crore to support higher education for those aspiring to attain progressive career growth.

"upGrad...is running on track to train 4,500 learners coming out of less privileged backgrounds under the aegis of its year-long initiative 'Joy of Learning'," the release said.
