Zinc prices fell 0.53% on Wednesday due to reduced speculator interest and weak demand from consuming industries, according to PTI.
New Delhi, Feb 7 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday fell 0.53 per cent to Rs 216.40 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded lower by Rs 1.15 or 0.53 per cent at Rs 216.40 per kg in 4,467 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
