Zinc prices fell 0.46% to Rs 281.20 per kg in the futures trade on Friday, driven by weak demand and speculation reduction.
New Delhi, Sep 27 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday fell 0.46 per cent to Rs 281.20 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded Rs 1.95 or 0.46 per cent lower at Rs 281.20 per kg in 3,245 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
