Zinc prices fell 1.15% on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to weak demand from consuming industries and speculator reduction of positions.
New Delhi, Oct 8 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 1.15 per cent to Rs 284.90 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded Rs 3.30 or 1.15 per cent lower at Rs 284.90 per kg in 769 lots.

Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
