Zinc Futures Decline on Weak Demand - PTI
Zinc prices fell 0.3% on Thursday to Rs 265.50 per kilogram in futures trade, driven by weak demand from consuming industries and speculator reduction in positions.
New Delhi, Jan 30 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday fell 0.3 per cent to Rs 265.50 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery traded 80 paise or 0.3 per cent lower at Rs 265.50 per kg in 3,632 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
