Zinc Futures Decline on Weak Demand - PTI
Zinc futures prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) due to reduced demand from consuming industries and negative cues from the spot market.
New Delhi, Jan 31 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday fell Rs 1.05 to Rs 268.25 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery declined Rs 1.05 or 0.39 per cent to Rs 268.25 per kg in 273 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
