Zinc prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to weak demand from consuming industries. Speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
New Delhi, Feb 21 (PTI) Zinc prices on Friday fell 50 paise to Rs 272.90 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded 50 paise or 0.18 per cent lower at Rs 272.90 per kg in 1,561 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
