Zinc Futures Decline on Weak Demand
Zinc futures prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to weak demand from consuming industries. Speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
New Delhi, Feb 1 (PTI) Zinc prices on Saturday fell Rs 1.60 to Rs 261.55 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for February delivery declined Rs 1.60 or 0.61 per cent to Rs 261.55 per kg in 3,898 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
