Zinc prices fell 0.17% to Rs 266.40 per kg in futures trade due to reduced speculator exposure and weak demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, Jul 29 (PTI) Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.17 per cent to Rs 266.40 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for August delivery traded lower by 45 paise or 0.17 per cent at Rs 266.40 per kg in 3,783 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
