Zinc futures fell 0.32% to Rs 268.45 per kg on Wednesday, driven by reduced speculator activity and weak demand in the spot market.
New Delhi, Sep 18 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday fell 0.32 per cent to Rs 268.45 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for September delivery traded 85 paise or 0.32 per cent lower at Rs 268.45 per kg in 1,110 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
