By Rediff Money Desk, NEWDELHI Feb 19, 2024 15:18
Zinc prices fell on the Multi Commodity Exchange due to reduced speculator interest and weak demand from consuming industries, according to PTI.
New Delhi, Feb 19 (PTI) Zinc prices on Monday fell 0.19 per cent to Rs 213.30 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for March delivery traded lower by 40 paise or 0.19 per cent at Rs 213.30 per kg in 3,625 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
