Zinc Futures Fall on Weak Demand | August 14

Zinc futures decline 0.06% to Rs 269.80/kg on MCX due to reduced exposure and weak demand from consuming industries. August 14 report.
New Delhi, Aug 14 (PTI) Zinc prices on Thursday fell 0.06 per cent to Rs 269.80 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for September delivery traded lower 15 paise or 0.06 per cent at Rs 269.80 per kg in 899 lots.
Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
