Zinc prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) fell 0.51% to Rs 273.90 per kg on Wednesday, driven by muted demand from consuming industries.
New Delhi, May 22 (PTI) Zinc prices on Wednesday fell 0.51 per cent to Rs 273.90 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, taking negative cues from the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for May delivery traded lower Rs 1.40 or 0.51 per cent at Rs 273.90 per kg in 2,205 lots.
Analysts said trimming of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market mainly weighed on zinc prices.
